A modern city hall with cherished historical roots will soon serve the Pacifica community

Last week, Pacifica City Council unanimously approved the construction contract for the Pacifica Civic Center project! Construction will soon start, transforming the existing City Hall and permit building into a civic campus to serve the community for generations to come. The new, cohesive civic campus will have convenient, co-located staff departments, meeting and collaboration spaces, and a one-stop-shop for permitting. The project includes interior and exterior renovations for both buildings, a pocket park, and a small outdoor community gathering space. The City Hall is a treasured local icon, and its exterior will be rehabilitated to its original historic schoolhouse look, while the adjacent staff building will be modernized with a new façade. The civic center is scheduled to be completed midyear 2023.
