Making Waves: Tracy Aquatic Center Moves Forward!

Featured

We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for the Tracy Aquatic Center! Recently, Tracy City Council unanimously approved the final conceptual plan — created in close collaboration with Group 4, City staff, and the Tracy community — and authorized the project to move into the next exciting phase of design.

This achievement is a testament to the incredible teamwork between City leadership, stakeholders, and more than 1,600 community members who shared ideas and priorities for this critical project. Together, we’ve shaped a vision for an aquatic center that will serve Tracy for generations to come — a place for competition, recreation, learning, and fun.

The approved plan features a 50-meter competition pool, a recreation/warm-up pool, and options for a lazy river, waterslides, toddler play areas, shaded seating, a community room. Designed with flexibility, sustainability, and long-term financial stewardship in mind, the project will create a true destination for Tracy residents of all ages.

Moving forward

What’s next? With City Council’s direction Group 4 will dive into Phase 2 — schematic design, engineering, and construction documents. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with the grand opening slated for summer 2028.

Our team is very proud of the hard work that’s brought us to this point and can’t wait to keep making a splash with the City of Tracy as we bring this vision to life!
